The Rockpool self-catered apartment is an idyllic beachside bolthole, nestled between the dunes of Godrevy and Gwithian in beautiful West Cornwall – a stone’s throw from the 3- miles of golden sand beach, with epic sea views – nature’s playground!

Our apartment is smartly appointed to offer a fresh and bright space equipped with all mod-cons. A stylish, beachside home-from-home sleeping four people, with a private entrance and parking.

Coastal-inspired interiors run throughout the two good sized bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and the separate lounge-diner – which provides a great communal space.

Guests can wake-up to the sound of the sea and retreat back to soak-up a sundowner after a day at the beach or exploring the coast.

THINGS TO DO

There is plenty to do from our doorstep:

Take a surf or Stand-Up Paddle Board lesson with Gwithian Surf Academy (keep an eye on the surf at Godrevy via The Rockpool webcam)

Explore the South West Coast Path – this stretch of coastline is truly spectacular!

Take a dip in the sea to discover wild swimming

Get stuck into a beach clean (The Rockpool has partnered with Surfers Against Sewage to help protect our oceans and can loan free beach-cleaning kits – just ask in the cafe)

Explore the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – colonies of seabirds, such as guillemots, razorbills and cormorants are often found here, and seal sightings aren’t uncommon! Adjacent to The Rockpool is St. Gothian Sands Nature Reserve – a stunning spot to catch a variety of wildlife, particularly birds.

Beyond the beach, looking on into the bay you’ll find the famous Godrevy lighthouse (of Virginia Woolfe’s To The Lighthouse fame) on an island just off the coast. The National Trust Headland from which this is best viewed is just a short walk along the Coast Path and offers a truly picturesque viewing spot.

A SHORT TRIP BEYOND GWITHIAN

The popular buzzy town of St Ives and Carbis bay are within easy reach – Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden are worth a visit – as are the Hayle Estuary, Porth Kidney Sands, Porthcurno and Sennen Cove – all of which come highly recommended.

The Apartment is set above The Rockpool beach cafe. Our vibe here is friendly and relaxed (think barefoot and rustic) buzzing with families, friends, surfers, wild swimmers and salty seadogs.

The Rockpool Sea View Apartment is set above The Rockpool beach café – as such we wouldn’t recommend for young families with early bedtimes.
